“ Nice family hotel. Rooms were clean, staff friendly and a good range of food. My daughter is vegetarian so I wasn't sure if we would struggle but the staff took her round to show her what she could eat, lots of choice. Nice range of pools and you could use the facilities at the nearby hotels like the gym, pool and tennis court. We were worried due to other reviews but there was no need. Easy access to beach too. Would reccomend. ”

“ Nice hotel spotlessly clean grounds and rooms cleaned every other day lovely friendly welcoming staff great for families with young kids, food is good and plenty to choose, nice splash pool for kids and evening shows the evening shows can get a bit boring as it's the same thing especially for kids, only down side is it's a good 20 minute walk to the beach no shuttle bus it's too far for young children ,in my opinion, we spent 14 days with our 6 year old daughter, great weather average daily temperature around 28C only 5 minute taxi to Santa Maria about 5 euros one way plenty of restaurants and bars and lovely beach in santa maria, Sal island is better than boa vista for families ”

“ Either things have improved very quickly in a short space of time or people are coming here with stupid expectations. You pay a 3 star price and it's a decent 3 star hotel. Let's talk through the common complaints. "The staff are unfriendly and have poor English" Complete nonsense. The staff are lovely, excellent at their job, and couldn't do more for you. "Not enough towels". You can trade an old towel for a new towel with a token at the pool. People clearly don't bother to read the processes and just like to whinge. "Food poisoning is rife" Nobody in my party got sick, nor anyone we spoke to. The meat is generally overcooked to prevent this. Better safe than sorry. It's a pleasant hotel with nice staff and well located by the beach. It's the cheapest hotel TUI have on the island. Come here with reasonable expectations and you'll have a great time. Come here and expecting the Ritz whilst paying peanuts? Well, that's on you. ”

“ The reviews written bellow made me quite worried before arriving here but after staying here for a week I can say that my stay wasn't anyway close to being as bad as the reviews made it seem. My only honest complaints about this hotel is the lack of towels that they provide once they remove the dirty towels from the bathroom- meaning you have to ask a cleaner for towels (which wasn't much of a problem for me). The breakfast in the restaurant could be improved by having more variety of food however, I never had any problems with lunch and/or dinner. In my situation, no one in my family fell sick due to the food here. The bedroom was very spacious and clean alongside the beds being very comfortable. I never had any problems with the air conditioning which was great. The pools were clean and during my 7 day stay they were never closed. The nearby beach is beautiful and perfect to swim and relax in due to not having any big and disruptive waves. Perfect beach to watch the sunset. I have no complaints about the service from the staff as everyone was very friendly and very welcoming. The Brazilian, Cape Verde and mama Africa shows were fantastic, I definitely recommended watching them. The excursions that tui offers are very expensive and you can find the exact same excursions for much cheaper outside of the hotel so I recommend doing this. Overall the stay here was not as bad as some have made it out to be, so I do recommend this hotel. ”
